Celebrate Shakespeare 400

ShakespeareAtrwork-Banner

Today is the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death, and events across the country will commemorate the life and work of the Bard.

Our very own Tony Bradman will be with the marvellous folks at Bookseller Crow on the Hill in Crystal Palace from 11am, talking Shakespeare and signing copies of The Boy and the Globe.

If you can’t make it along, why not stage your own Shakespeare play at home with our downloadable Globe Theatre and mini Tempest script? Here’s a video we’ve put together with illustrator Tom Morgan-Jones making his own Globe model – complete with inky drawings of a very disreputable looking crowd!

Tom’s been busy around the anniversary – you can also find his masterclass on ‘How to Draw a Quill Pen’ on the Guardian here.

Buy the book or read a sample chapter here.
